Designer Burgundy (5): More Vosne Romanée
When you encounter the best wines of certain producers, these wines tend to transform into something magical, unrepeatable in regard to their extraordinary combination of factors which make the wine unforgettable. Some are extremely rare not only because the fractionalization of vineyards plots as much as being made by a single producers and thus a monopole. These wines have cult status and have become obsessions for some wine lovers but they are so unobtainable not so much for their prices as how difficult they are to find.
Some of these expensive and rare wines can only be acquired at auctions and at collector prices. Romanée Conti, La Tache, La Romanée, Cros Parantoux, Malconsort Christiane, Richebourg and Romanée St. Vivant are all legendary names that, alas, have become untouchable because they are so rare and expensive.
