La Grande Rue 2002

A practically unknown wine because its vineyards are among the smallest in all Burgundy and owned by a single producer, Lamarche. While situated near two of the greatest sensorial phenomenon in Burgundy, this producer has made sobriety and discretion his trademark. The wine is elegant and spicy with background notes that are almost spicy hot, while at the same time it has a subtle minerality and a soft balsamic touch. The mouthfeel is balanced with very fine tannins and pleasing, excellent flavor.
