The personality of Torgiano Rosso Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio confirms the great intuition Giorgio Lungarotti had in recognizing how that vineyard was an authentic cru.

We have already explained what this wine means for the Lungarotti family and Italian winemaking in general. It is a wine that from the very start aimed for top quality without any hesitation at a time when producing quality wine in Umbria was the vision of only a few enlightened producers.

Giorgio Lungarotti’s vision is carried on today by his daughters Chiara and Maria Teresa who in a masterful way maintain his legacy and the products of the estate’s vineyards, with a continuity of quality that was blatantly evident in this tasting.
