Le Braci 2003

Starting with this vintage and the younger ones to follow, the wine no longer has its almost black and bright color to become more brownish with an orange edge. Looking at them, these wines seem older that the earlier vintages but Stefano Garofano said this was not true and, in any case, it did not bother him. Nevertheless, this vintage does have some problems surely due to the torrid summer heat which made the wine less complex, less broad and, to be cruel, almost monotonous. This may not age well and while it stands out on its own, it is a far cry from the vintages before and after it.
