Dalla Val Brembana alla Montagne de Reims

It was towards the end of the 19th century when the Milesi family, woodcutters from the province of Bergamo, moved to Louvois in Montagne de Reims, which at the time was covered with thick forests. Over time things changed and the Milesi family switched from woodcutting to winegrowing and sold their grapes to the leading Maisons. In the middle of the 1990s they decided to bottle their own wine made with grapes from nine hectares of Premier Cru vineyards.

Today the technical side of the estate is run by the young Sophie Milesi. After studying winemaking in Avize and gaining experience in Burgundy, she has been converting the estate to become organic. Sophie has given a very personal imprint to the wines of Maison Guy-Méa producing Champagne (some 60,000 bottles a year) made mostly from Pinot Noir (as is typical for the area) but with remarkable grace and elegance.
