Terra Aspra Etichetta Nera Primitivo 2011

Made from Primitivo grapes and matured in wood for 12 months and then aged in the bottle for at least six months. The wine has a ruby color that slightly leans towards garnet and the aroma is elegant with spice notes, black and green pepper, and the classic foxy sensation that identifies the varietal. The fruit is very evident in the bouquet with notes of blackberry and blood orange with everything clear and intriguing. The mouthfeel is elegant with a medium texture and an excellent progression thanks to the high salinity while the tannins are soft and still young. The finish is flavorful and elegant with an excellent persistence but different from classic versions of the varietal being less bold but more much elegant.
