This is their 100% Aglianico wine that macerates for 15 days with various pumpings over and racking. The wine then matures for a year, half in French-oak barriques and half in 50hl Slovenian oak barrels, before aging for another year in the bottle. Although ten years old, the wine still has a lively red-brick color while the bouquet is of leather and dried flowers. The mouthfeel has very polished but not overly abundant tannins and a discreet freshness that allows the wine to go down easily, making it good to pair with an Amatriciana pasta. A lovely wine at an affordable price.
