Disgorged 2012. The wine has a distinct yellow color and an abundant effervescence. The aroma is particularly full for a sparkling wine and is extremely grapey with scents of yellow flowers, oriental spice and a light phenolic note of leather that is not very elegant. The exuberant aroma leads to a pronounced mouthfeel which is harder than one would expect and in the finish it tends to tighten. The notes from the dosage are a bit lose in the persistence. A wine with a strong personality which is not very fine and one that needs more time in the bottle. Fans of the Larmandier-Bernier style should avoid this.
