Port, like Hungarian Essencia, is truly the wine that ages the longest. The cork was very hard, almost like wood, and very difficult to remove but it was worth it. After 150 years in the bottle it was incredible how intense and intact this was. The color was a dark amber and the bouquet outstanding with lots of garrigue and roots, shag tobacco and walnuts in infusion while the balsamic sensation is what impressed the most and recalled an infusion of medicinal herbs. The mouthfeel was rounded, full of energy, very warm and silky beyond belief and the length eternal.
