A solid and important structure despite the almost pale red color. The solidity is evident already in the aroma which is almost violent with it unusual intensity, even for a Pinot Noir. The fruit in the bouquet is pronounced but this wine needs to age because drinking this now is a classic act of infanticide. Musigny is a gentleman for whom one must wait to thoroughly enjoy all it can and has to offer. The mouthfeel is bold and rich, sumptuous due to the texture that is still amalgamating. Although this is still a sensorial ‘work in progress’, it is still a wine that will amaze and it, too, is very rate.
