A blend of 60% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Bianco and 20% Pinot Noir from the vineyards of Larga Sud, Limbo, Roccolino, Dosso Sud and Roccolo in the town of Passirano that have east-southeast exposures and morainic soils with very fine gravel at a medium depth. This Riserva is the product of the 2008 harvest that took place in the last ten days of August with the warm temperatures concentrating the aromas. The wine was made in part in stainless steel vats under controlled temperatures and in part in wood, with partial malolactic fermentation. After spending 102 months in the cellar the wine was disgorged without any sugar dosage added thus making it a Pas Dosé.
The wine has a golden, straw-yellow color and a fine and persistent effervescence from which emerge floral notes of elder, gardenia and linden flower, Melissa and verbena along with a delicate freshness of citron and candied ginger with nuances of barley and hazelnut butter. The generous and broad mouthfeel has a citrus tension and nuances of tropical yellow fruit with spice and saline sensations and a creamy and wrapping finish with delicate balsamic hints all in a great balance of finesse.
