Mezzanella Ammandorlato 1997

A triple-play also for vintage 1997 which despite unfavorable weather conditions (a particularly cold and dry winter, early spring and hail in July followed by months of drought) is considered exceptional for wines made from raisinated grapes. This has the usual, impenetrable color and the aroma is dominated by notes of dried fruit, tobacco and candied fruits. The mouthfeel has pronounced and slightly bitter tannins, perhaps due to an overall structure that is less dense. It seems a bit drawn and still needs to fully develop. Alcoholic content: 14%.
