The first of the three from 1990, considered a 5-star year considering the complexity and perfect balance of the wines it produced. The color is only just garnet while the bouquet is perfectly intact with distinct notes of baked products like cherry tart, plus red fruit jam and then aromatic herbs, rose and graphite: almost like an Amarone. The mouthfeel is taut with nice tannins and a harsh finish. Austere in its sweetness. Alcoholic content: 14%.
