Made with Sangiovese grapes from the old Prugneto vineyard and aged for 10 months in new, 25-hl French oak barrels. The wine has an intense, ruby color with prune reflections and an intense and fruity aroma with scents of black cherry, Marasca cherry and plum on a nice balsamic background of eucalyptus with a touch of spice. The mouthfeel is full, almost rounded, very fruity and with a light smoky note of youth. The tannins are fine and the finish is rich, flavorful and juicy with a streak of licorice. Simple complexity and a miracle for 2014.
