Bottle number 2,013 out of 7,870. The wine is made with only Chardonnay using barrels half of which are from Burgundy and were previously used for Grand Cru Chardonnay, while the other half are made of wood from the Argonne forest. The bouquet is generous and chalky with a brilliant citrusy freshness with an iodine and marine impact that sets off an aromatic compendium ranging from plum to apricot, from fresh hazelnut to lemon-flavored butter fingers. The mouthfeel is both precise and opulent with sensations of candied orange and citron, spice and a return of butter. This is a Meursault with bubbles and the finish is wonderfully savory and joyous.
