Chianti Rufina Docg Riserva Bucerchiale 1999

The historic Fattoria Selvapiana, the protecting numen and historic vestige of Chianti Ruffina wines, proposes a pure Sangiovese from its Bucerchiale vineyard. From these vines, which turned exactly 20 years old in 1999, came a wine of an intense ruby-red color, still bright, rich to the nose with scents of cherry and ripe prunes, even those in preserves, with accents of spice and coffee. To the taste it is full-bodied, fresh, with distinct, juicy tannins, well-amalgamated in the body. The finish has a touch of bitterness.
