Casal dei Ronchi 1988

A unique product from of a year that was not expected to be favorable due to poor weather in the spring but that then made up for it in late summer and during harvest and the raisinating period. The color is impenetrable leaning towards garnet and the aroma is warm, very intense and still fruity with its cherry scent shifting towards Mon Cherie. There are also light notes of candied fruit, spice, aromatic herbs and coffee. The mouthfeel is fresh, a tad saline and slightly cherry, with nice, silky tannins and a long finish which is only semi-sweet despite its 74g/l sugar residue. A very fine wine and quite complete. Alcoholic content: 14%.
