Campolongo Torbe Amarone 1974

This wine is immense starting with its unnatural and unreal color, an intense, deep and concentrated red. The aroma is an apotheosis of blueberry and prune jam with wonderful smoked notes and those of licorice. It closes with magnificent spicy touches of vin brulé and cinnamon before notes of flint and mineral emerge. The mouthfeel is bold, untiring and lifting the senses to exasperation, very strong.
