The first wine with a fully evolved color: dark garnet with a bright, orange edge. The bouquet has notes of chocolate, tobacco, cinnamon, prune preserved under sports, leather and mushroom. The austere tannins from 1988 stand out in the mouthfeel that has a profound and bold finish, even if it is not too complex, and a walnut aftertaste. Despite being such an important wine, it is easy to pair with strong-flavored meats and cheese as well as with a chocolate dessert. Of these four wines this one was tasted at its peak, although the others remain exquisite, but needed to be decanted.
