Cacc e Mitt di Lucera doc 2011

A blend of 55% Nero di Troia, 30% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and 15% Bombino Bianco. This characteristic and rustically pleasing wine is fermented in steel and aged in cement. It has a dark ruby color and an aroma rich in ripe fruit, above all raspberry and wild berries that also stand out in the flavor. The mouthfeel is warm and pulpy, with tannins of average intensity and a slightly bitter finish.
It pairs well with red meat but also poached fish.
