Made with Nebbiolo Lampia grapes on 45-year-old vines in the best vineyards in Treiso. The wine ages in 500-liter tonneau barrels from 16 to 22 months and the production is only some 1,800 bottles a year. It has a nice ruby color and a clear and intense bouquet with light notes of prune and cherry followed by some spice and a touch of fresh flowers. The mouthfeel is pronounced with nicely amalgamated and youthful tannins and a distinct freshness. The progression is mellow and the finish has a silky persistence.
