From this volitional cooperative comes one of the best Italian Pinot Noir tasted in recent years. Pinot Noir wines from Alto Adige have always been criticized for their tendency to be excessively soft and 'sweet' which obscures the natural finesse and tension of the grape. This is absolutely not the case with this Riserva 2010, on the contrary. The aroma has spices and lively fruit while the flavor is juicy, nervous and rich in tension. The tannins are exquisitely ripe and the acidity finely tuned for a decidedly long finish.
