Cherry Lady is a particular beer made using cherries and raspberries. It undergoes two fermentations: the first is in stainless steel and then – after adding the organically grown fruit (provided by a small local producer) – a second, spontaneous fermentation takes place thanks to the yeast in the fruit skins. The result is surprising. The beer has an intense and bright pink color and a sweet aroma of red fruit, starting with those used in the brewing. There are also citrusy sensations that recall acidity and freshness. The mouthfeel is pleasing and juicy, fresh and flowing yet with a lot of character. The light ‘sour’ note is counterbalanced by a precise level of alcohol and the initial sweet sensation that then vanishes and entices another sip. A great beer that epitomizes experimentation, territory and creativity. It doesn’t get much better than this.
