La Selvotta, three generations of olive growers

With the EVO oil Electum, produced from Abruzzo olive varieties, La Selvotta offers a light fruity and perfectly balanced oil.
For the family Sputore olive oil making is a passion handed down for three generations. Founded in 1964 by Nicola Sputore, today the farm La Selvotta is run by Giovanni and Elio, who also offer tourist accommodation on the hills around Vasto, near the Adriatic sea, in the Abruzzo region.
The specialized olive grove covers over 12 hectares with 3,000 century-old and younger trees, cultivated with integrated farming principles. There is also a modern extraction system.
In the last harvest almost 1,118 quintals of olives were produced and about 195 purchased, with a yield of over 211 hectolitres of oil.
There are two Extra Virgin, La Selvotta - Oliva Grossa and the very good Electum, which we recommend.
