Dancing in Nizza
Daniele Chiappone is the fourth generation of his farmer-winemakers to run the family’s estate and he does so with great determination. He has made improvements there but more important he has not significantly changed the image of a family glad to be farmers and an unusually festive atmosphere of unity reins at the estate. Daniele is firmly convinced of the potential of the area of Nizza and he has held important positions in the Nizza wine producers’ association, to which he has belonged from the beginning. His dancing performances at the parties held to present the new vintages are legendary.
The estate’s style is somber with a rational approach that does not ignore tradition. They have around 10 hectares of vineyards that have a mar soil which is particularly good for Barbera. Daniele sends his wines to market only after they have aged long in the bottle and this is to the advantage of the consumer.
Recent tastings have confirmed that Barbera is the estate’s leading grape from which they produce two wines: a fresh one, Brentura, and the classic Nizza DOCG Ru, their showcase wine.
ersioni: una fresca, la Brentura, e poi la classica Nizza docg Ru, che rappresenta il vertice aziendale.
