The fullness of Bolgheri

Anyone who has never been to Bolgheri should really go there, if only for the colors you will find. There is the bright blue of the sky, the dark green of its famous cypress trees and the light green of the leaves in the vineyards, with those of the Cabernet turning bright red in the autumn.
The Di Vaira family came here from the region of Molise in the early 1950s, before the area became famous. After working at his family’s estate, Vincenzo struck out on his own with a small farm at the feet of the Castiglioncello di Bolgheri fortress that has expanded to over 50 hectares of land. Here he produces wine, olive oil and other farm products together with his wife Emanuela Granchi, their daughters Sara and Romina and his son-in-law Alessandro Degl’Innocenti.
The estate today is mostly run by Romina and her husband who have brought a breath of fresh air to the family business.
