The fertile land of Terredora

In Irpinia, Taurasi is what comes to mind when the subject is Aglianico. The Terredora estate, in this case, has produced a rosé version that is particularly pleasing: RosaeNovae. 

In 1994, Walter Mastroberardino founded one of the loveliest winemaking realities in Campania: Terradora, named after his wife Dora Di Paolo. The project took form after his split with his brother Antonio and went on to involve his children Paolo, Lucio and Daniele. The winery was built in Serra di Montefusco, at an altitude of 650m above sea level, a strategic location for the production of DOC and DOCG wines.

With an eye on the future, they began to experiment both in the vineyard and winery but without abandoning their long and important family traditions. Walter was one of the first entrepreneur/winemakers to believe in the “culture” of wine and placed its promotion and development in the hands of his daughter Daniela. He also invested in projects aimed at preserving ancient regional varietals.

After the painful and premature death of Lucio Mastroberardino, his siblings Daniela and Paolo took control of production with excellent results. They own a total of 200 hectares of vineyards spread out in the best areas of Irpinia where the native varieties produce typical and territorial wines that reflect the tenacity and strength of a lovely Italian winemaking family.
