A leading Dolcetto producer, Pecchenino came into the media spotlight some 15 years or so ago thanks to its versions of Dogliani, in particular Siri d’Jermu, which exalted the concentration that this wonderful grape, which experts say grows best in this area, is capable of.

Although the estate’s Dogliani are almost never heavy, in recent years the producer seems to have lightened them somewhat, enhancing their spontaneous expressiveness. The result are Dogliani that, even when they are not great, have a drinkability – which is always the most important thing – that is their ace in the hole.
