A 100% Dolcetto wine that macerates for ten days and ages in stainless steel. The color is not particularly dark for the grape variety, an estate trademark, and the aroma has distinct aromas of dried flowers, rose and a slight smoked note. The mouthfeel is a tad light, probably due to the vintage, and the flavor has fruit that is a bit raw but without any vegetal nuances or excessive bitterness, while the finish is flowing and spicy and the almond in persistence textbook-perfect. A reserved yet cordial wine, like all the best Dogliani. And like all the best Dolcetto, an extraordinary and never demanding wine at the table.
