Nathan, a surprising white wine by Ermes Pavese
The vineyards of the Blanc de Morgex e de la Salle are the highest in Europe and Ermes Pavese's ones from which is made the excellent Nathan as well.
His vineyards are small strips of land near mountain tops at altitudes between 900 and 1,200 meters above sea level and his tiny winery is as well-kept as a living room. All this makes Ermes Pavese and his family the epitome of mountain winemakers. His leading wine is Nathan, a white made from Prié Blanc grapes grown on 60-year-old vines and fermented in barriques.
