Elisabetta Geppetti is a legend when it comes to Maremma wines. Beautiful, strong and determined, she became a wine entrepreneur when she was very young and moved to her family’s farm in Maremma because she was in love with this coastal area of Tuscany and wanted to express it in a great wine. Thirty years later she can be more than satisfied for what she has achieved.

Known as “The Lady of Morellino ”, she played a key role in enhancing the image of this wine in Italy and, above all, abroad. Along with Morellino she also produces a very great Super Tuscan , Saffredi , which is consistently at the top of its category.

Here we will not look at her great reds but at a simpler wine that is rarely reviewed by wine critics, a pleasing rosé that you could drink by the bucket.

I had the opportunity to taste the latest vintage at Terre di Tosca, a wonderful event that recently took place at Lido di Camaiore. Now in its 10th edition, it has become the most important occasion to understand Tuscan wines.
