A Carricante similar to a Riesling

A’ Puddara is a volcanic wine from Tenuta di Fessina that is both Sicilian and yet also northern. Its Carricante grapes grow on vines that are 50 years old and rooted in volcanic soil at an altitude of some 1,000m, above sea level. The wine is pleasingly ferocious when bottled and is salty, intense and citrusy. With age is obtains an extraordinary balance and sensations that seem to come from a totally different latitude.
