The Queen of the Ascoli forest

A wonderful surprise: Regina del Bosco 2007 Fattoria Dezi is decidedly a great wine.
The Dezi brothers are two winemakers in the Marche region with distinctly different personalities: one is very reserved and the other a volcano in full eruption but neither has any inclination to follow trends or fads of the moment.
They are in the Ascoli winemaking district, even if they are close to Fermo, where they produce tens of thousands of bottles a year.
They naturally grow the typical white grapes of the area in their some 15 hectares of vineyards, like Pecorino, but also red grapes, above all Sangiovese and Montepulciano. Their vines are beginning to have an important age and this certainly not a bad thing.
