Spelt La Valentina enhances the value of Montepulciano
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva Spelt from La Valentina is a wine that demonstrated good character also in 2014.
The La Valentina estate was founded in 1990 in the Colline Pescarese in the Abruzzo region. Initially, it was divided between a number of partners but later came under the sole ownership of the Di Properzio family who have the years have expanded it thanks to the foresightedness and help of some lead players in the world of wine including enologist Luca D’Attoma.
The estate’s vocation is first of all towards environmental sustainability through a constant commitment that has involved the employment of products that have a low impact on the land while electricity is provided by renewable energy sources without any use of fossil fuels or the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Additional and substantial value is added to the wine by the area’s varietals, in particular Montepulciano d’Abruzzo which produces this Riserva Spelt.
