Made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the Villero vineyard at Castiglione Falletto. A Barolo that is grand even in its colour, a more intense and richer garnet than usual. Then there are its very positive, seductive and ethereal perfumes, with evident notes of liquorice, sour cherries and violets pinpointing the various facets of a broad gamut of aromas. It is powerful and forthright on the palate, with abundant, clear-cut but rounded tannins and fruit that is well supported by the acidity. The finish is compact, even solid, with really impressive length. Serve it at 20°C, accompanying it with beef braised in Barolo, roast kid or jugged hare.
