Made from only Nebbiolo grapes grown in a vineyard in Villero di Castiglione Falletto. This was a bold Barolo beginning with its intense and rich garnet color. The aromas were very pronounced and wrapping, ethereal, with distinct notes of licorice, black cherry and violets defining the aromatic profile. The mouthfeel was also bold and distinct with abundant and nicely defined tannins that were in no way sharp, while the body was upheld by the acidity. The finish was compact, solid and had a truly impressive persistence.
