Stylistically, this wine is very different from the one produced today and this because it was made before enologist Carlo Ferrini came onboard at the estate. The wine then was only aged in large barrels and the aroma has notes of tobacco and cigars, fruit preserved in alcohol, especially cherry, with whiffs of rosemary. The mouthfeel is fresh with a bit rough tannins but the taste is intriguing.
