This is distinctly different from the 2013. While the color is shinier, the floral component is much darker and the bouquet has notes of cola candy, carob and cocoa beans along with a nuance of anchovy. The mouthfeel is decidedly flavorful, the pleasing tannins are just a tad sandy-grainy and the overall structure is bold. A very dynamic wine with a long persistence and a balsamic and cola aftertaste. Splendid.
