This is very similar to the 2011 with a more prominent smoky-roast chestnut note. For the rest the wine’s physiognomy is clear: an aroma that is both mineral and grapey, the attack subtle, the mouthfeel very lively and reactive, kept compact by the tannins without pushing or ‘searing’, the flavor is smoked and the aftertaste irony, floral and bitter.
