Vigna delle Volpi 2007

Wonderful. A Vigna delle Volpi that, without losing an iota of its unique character or its compactness, has a floral component (rose, violet and iris) that foresees an even longer life (decades more). Raffaele claims this was the best year ever and who are we to contradict him? The finish is serious, composed and always subtle while the persistence is outstanding. It is a shame that this wine is now so hard to find.
