Vigna del Rolat 2010

Made exclusively from Friulano grapes, cultivated in the minuscule Rolat vineyard of barely two hectares. It has a bright straw yellow colour, with lively greenish highlights. Its nose is intense, inviting and very true to type, with the classic sensations of white peaches and fresh almonds dominating. Its flavour is forthright, and very tangy on the front palate. Almost brackish acidity underpins the considerable fruit, although this is not as rich and concentrated as in the 2006. The finish is very long and there is a typical bitter almond aftertaste. Serve it at 8°C with seafood risotto, spaghetti alla carbonara or grilled shellfish.
