An unexpectedly great Barolo from a year that was anything but. It has a clear, red color with garnet notes at the center of the glass and orange nuances on the edge. The bouquet is a fireworks display of notes of dried thyme leaves, leather and fine tar and the close is decidedly balsamic with its notes of juniper. The mouthfeel is a drape of linen where the hint of roughness recalls the grape yet offers positive, vigorous and fine sensations.It continues to improve with breathing and the finish is endless.
