Vernaccia di San Gimignano Docg Riserva 2011

A confirmation of this winery's classic approach in producing its Riserva. As always the color is a straw-yellow of medium intensity. Being a young wine the bouquet, while clean and faultless, plays only in citrus scents: citron, even candied, lemon and grapefruit both yellow and pink that open towards pomegranate. The taste, on the other hand, is already well-developed and harmonious. It magnificently brings together boldness and elegance thanks to a freshness that is quite incredible given the year is was produced.  The finish is of rare beauty for its balance and persistence.
