Made from Verdicchio grapes and aged on the lees in stainless steel for six months. The ‘yellow’ note of gorse appears to be a Castellaretta trademark, the way wild fennel is for the wine from the close-by Salmagina district.
The color is a distinct straw-yellow with golden reflections while the aroma is ‘fibrous’ (without grain notes) with scents of gorse, honey and acacia. The mouthfeel is pure Staffolo, rich yet at the same time citrusy with notes of almond and yeast. This is not a technical wine and has a rustic imprint but without exaggeration. Not to be drunk cold.
