The color is again amazing, a deep ruby with a purple-ruby edge. The bouquet has a light wild scent on top of the usual dense fruit aromas. Similar to all 2013 wines the mouthfeel plays more on the salinity than the tannins, which are subtle and grainy Sangiovese-style. This vintage is not as bold as the others but is impressively dynamic with an aftertaste of soot, sour cherry and a hint of horseradish.
