The color is incredible: a very youthful dark-ruby. After opening on a note of glutamine, the bouquet becomes very pure with scents of violets and sour cherry, soot and a hint of horseradish in a framework in which bottle aging does not seem to have even begun. The mouthfeel is very rich and a bit chunky but not stiff with very fresh tannins and a floral note in the finish. Like all the other wines in the tasting, the dynamism here is excellent, especially if you consider this is a Piceno Montepulciano which generally does not have dynamism as one of its strong points. This, too, has a long life ahead of it. A rock in liquid form.
