Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese 1976

Made from Riesling grapes. As I have said before, drinking an old Riesling is a truly unique experience because of the way the wine changes with an infinite number of extraordinary sensations. This has a pale, golden color without any amber deteriorations. The aroma is decidedly orientated towards sweet spice, nutmeg and cinnamon, and does not lack typical and fine scents of hydrocarbon and notes of overripe fruit jam. The mouthfeel is still rounded and soft and is in perfect balance with the secret of the wine’s apparent immortality: a lively, pulsating and almost citrus acidity. Superb.
