A blend of 60% Khantus and 40% Merlot Khorus that matures in barriques, 50% new and 50% used. The wine has an opaque, ruby-prune color while the bouquet is an explosion of peppermint, sweet tobacco, blueberry jam and strong black pepper. The aroma is extremely soft and intense and gives the impression that the grapes were first dried on racks (which was not the case). The mouthfeel is full of extracts with sweet tannins that are not exactly fine in the finish, while the persistence is long and explosive with notes of sweet tobacco and blueberry purée. A wine that is easy to comprehend and extremely pleasing to drink without any of the herbal and phenolic excesses that often penalize Grave wines made from French grapes.
