A blend of local native varieties including Magliocco Dolce and Canino, Greco Nero, Guarnaccia Nera and Gaglioppo with the addition of a little Merlot. After briefly macerating on the skins (five days), fermentation takes place in used barriques. The lively red color is unusually bright and transparent with a hint of distinct intensity. The bouquet has lovely aromas of blueberry yogurt and fragrant underbrush berries with a coquettish note of delicious medicinal herbs. The pleasing mouthfeel has a nice structure and consistency that does not keep it from being easy to drink. An “everyday” wine but one with great substance.
