    When the going gets tough the tough get going, John Belushi said. In this case the tough guy is Gianfranco Gallo who from this difficult year produced a very great Sauvignon which recovered some of the wine’s ‘northern’ traits to accompany the usual ones of exotic fruit. Some more vegetal accidents, of elder and tomato leaf in particular, embellish a wine that has a distinct, saline and very long impact.
